Reload
SAFE !!!
All loads on this page have been made with a Hornady 00-7
press, Lee 9mm and .30M1 dies, Hornady 9mm/38special taper crimp, RCBS .30
carbine taper crimp, RCBS .308win Competition seating die and a RCBS Full length
size die, Lee auto-prime, Hornady powder hopper, Hornady/Pacific case trimmer,
RCBS powder trickler and a RCBS 505 scale.
The standard procedure of reloading (the way I do it):
- Decapping/sizing.
- Clean the brass in the washing machine and let them dry
for a few days.
- If necessary clean the brass with a decalsifying liquid
(coffee machine cleaner, or very strong vinegar) to give the brass a "as new"
shine. And looses some more burned powder residue.
- After they're dry use the expander die to let the
bullet seat a bit easier.
- Seating the primers.
- Adjust the powder hopper to the right amount of powder
necessary (LOOK AT THE POWDER TABLES ACCORDING TO THE POWDER YOU'RE USING
!!!!).
- Fill the cases with powder and put a bullet on the
case.
- Seat the bullet to the proper depth.
- Give the bullet a crimp (not too much, not too light).
- Ready for action !

How to get clean brass/cases easy
Fill a bucket with warm/hot water and poor on a 50-50 solution cleaning
vinegar in the water. You can also use coffeemachine decalisfier. Put the
de-primed/sized cases in the water. Let them sit for a few minutes and you'll
see the brass cleaning up. The stronger the solution the shorter you can leave
the cases in. After you've cleaned them, rinse them again with clean hot water (no
cleaning vinegar). After that let them air dry. As far as I've seen/noticed this method does not have any
influence on the cases.
